Most standard repairs — sizing, polishing, rhodium plating — are completed within 1 week. More involved work such as stone re-setting or reshank replacement may take 1–2 weeks depending on materials. We will always give you a clear timeframe when you drop off your piece.
We can resize the vast majority of rings in yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, silver and platinum. Eternity rings set with stones all the way around can sometimes be more complex — bring it in and we'll advise you on the best approach.
Absolutely. We re-set loose or missing stones regularly. If you still have the stone, bring it with the ring and we'll re-set it. If the stone is lost, we can source a matching replacement — get in touch or simply drop by the studio.
Yes. Rhodium plating restores the bright white finish of white gold rings and is one of our most popular services. The process typically takes a few days and pricing starts from $60 depending on the piece.
It begins with a free consultation at our studio where we discuss your ideas, budget, metals and stones. We then create a detailed design brief, source materials, and craft your piece by hand in-house. You're involved at every step — from sketch to setting — and we'll keep you updated throughout.
Most handcrafted pieces take 3–6 weeks from design approval to completion, depending on complexity and stone availability. Engagement rings with specific diamond requirements may take slightly longer. We'll give you a realistic timeframe at your consultation — and we always recommend planning ahead for milestones like proposals and anniversaries.
Yes — many clients bring heirloom gold or inherited stones to be reimagined into a new piece. We handle this with great care. We'll assess the metal purity and stone condition at your consultation and advise on what's possible.
Handcrafted pieces start from around $800 for a simple handcrafted band in silver or 9ct gold. Engagement rings with a diamond centre stone typically start from $1,500 upwards, depending on metal choice and stone specifications. We work across a wide range of budgets — just tell us yours and we'll work within it.
Engagement rings are one of our specialities. We've created hundreds of them over our 40+ years in Chatswood. From classic solitaires to elaborate halo settings and everything in between — book a consultation and let's design the ring of their dreams together.
We offer laser engraving and hand engraving on rings, bangles, pendants and more. Laser engraving is precise and suits text, logos, barcodes and detailed artwork. Hand engraving produces a beautiful traditional finish ideal for script and decorative patterns. See our Engravings page for examples.
Simple text engravings are often completed same-day or within 1–2 business days. Complex artwork or large volume orders may take 3–5 days. We'll confirm the turnaround when you drop off or enquire.
Absolutely. You're welcome to bring in any piece for engraving — it doesn't need to have been purchased from us. We work on pieces from all sources.
We have a wide library of fonts ranging from classic script and serif styles to modern block lettering. You can also bring a reference image or logo. Come in and we'll show you options on screen before we engrave anything.
Yes — our laser engraving equipment is set up specifically to handle curved surfaces like the inside and outside of rings, the face of bangles and rounded pendants. Bring your piece in and we'll let you know what's achievable.
For most gold and silver pieces, a soft cloth and a mild soapy water solution works well. Soak briefly, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach and ultrasonic cleaners for pieces with glued-in stones or delicate settings.
We recommend a professional clean and inspection once a year. This lets us check for loose stones, worn claws and any wear that's better caught early. Our clean & polish service starts from $30 — it's the best insurance for your most precious pieces.
White gold is naturally a light yellow metal — the bright white finish comes from a rhodium plating applied during manufacture. Over time this plating wears away, revealing the natural colour. A rhodium re-plate (from $60) will restore it to bright white.
We advise removing jewellery before swimming — chlorine and salt water can damage metals and loosen stone settings over time. Showering with your ring is generally fine but soaps and products can build up under settings. Removing jewellery before sleep and heavy housework also extends its life significantly.
Store pieces individually in a soft pouch or lined jewellery box to prevent scratching. Keep pearls away from other metals as they are porous and soft. Avoid storing jewellery in direct sunlight or humid environments such as bathrooms where possible.
